What further sets UNIQUE NY TOURSapart from others is the personal attention of our guides.

Being accompanied by our knowledgeable, well-groomed guides is like exploring the city with a friend or relative who knows Manhattan like the back of their hand.

Transportation is predicated on your tastes too. You are met at your hotel or office and can choose a walking expedition, which gives you the fun of mixing into the melting pot, or you may opt for a chauffeured excursion that allows you to relax comfortably, viewing New York through the windows of a roomy Town Car, mini-van, or limousine.* And of course, a combination of travel modes is possible.

*Limousines require an additional transportation fee and 2 weeks advance notice.

Our Scavenger Hunt Tour!

THE WINNING TEAMS!

Exchange students from the Louis-Barthou High School in Pau, France took part in our Unique NY Tours Scavenger Hunt. As guests of the Trevor Day School, located just off Central Park West, the students especially loved the opportunity to successfully navigate the city with limited English, and, in the case of two of the five teams, without adult supervision.

"Most Exciting. We put all our energy into it!" Miléva Pierre Nicolas, Marie Xavier (winning team members)

"This experience was very instructive and very interesting...It permitted us to explore New York from several points of view." Marilys Villacampa, Sarah Kocis, Stephanie Claverie, Carole Amoros

Unique NY Tours Scavenger Hunt

HOW IT WORKS:

The fun of competition is one of the unique qualities of scavenger hunts, along with the experience of exploring, and of discovering new places. It's a perfect way to bond members of a team (be it corporate, scholastic, sports, etc.), or to have a good time with family and friends.

  A. Participants are divided into teams, and armed with public transportation passes, maps, clue lists, explicit traveling directions, and an emergency cell phone number (manned by a Unique NY Tours staff member in a vehicle).

  B. The teams are sent off in different directions to find objects and answer questions. Only by visiting Manhattan's major sightseeing locations and attractions can they complete the quest.

  C. The first team that returns to the designated Finish Location at the specified time, and with the most correctly answered questions and found objects, is the winner.  Its members receive NYC-related prizes.

Our complete Scavenger Hunt Tour is a full day, and it covers all of the major landmarks and famous areas of Manhattan. And because the tour members travel in groups, it's suitable for ages as young as 12, as well as for spry senior citizens.

UNIQUE NY TOURS – METRO

On a budget? Try our semi-standard tour that consists of a sightseeing trip to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and a shopping trip to one of three locations:

Designed for the young and adventurous, or simply the young-at-heart with a good pair of walking shoes (we’ve had grandmothers with more energy left at tour’s end than some youngsters). This tour is priced at $45 (adults) & $15 (under age 13), to allow NYC visitors to get all the value possible out of their vacation dollars.

UNIQUE NY JAZZ NYC

For lovers of America's only original art form, this vehicular tour encompasses daytime trips to legendary jazz venues, past and present. Greenwich Village clubs such as the Village Vanguard, Harlem's Minton's, The Cotton Club(s)*, Birdland(s)*, and the Blue Note, are all included. There are stops at streets named after famous jazz stars and famous jazz sites.

Nighttime finds you at one or more jazz clubs, or a concert. If you tour on the right dates, you can even attend one of your tour guide's jazz lectures at the New School For Social Research. Each session features a music luminary as special guest.

*(There have been several different establishments known by the same name over the years.)
